Elegant, Bohemian Chic Elopement Shoot in Marrakech

This bohemian elegance shoot was designed in collaboration with Magda from Fotomagoria , to showcase three authentic locations for an elopement in Marrakech. We worked with local and international suppliers as we would do when planning a wedding in Marrakech, to bring a chic, artistic vibe to life.

Marrakech Riad elopement - Maison Anaroze

We started the day out at the exquisite riad Maison Anaroze, which feels at once modern, minimalist and deeply traditional. It is a beautiful, elegant building perfect for an elopement in Marrakech, featuring clean white lines, warm straw and wicker tones, and a central courtyard with a glittering turquoise pool. The serene nature of the riad was complemented by the decor and outfits we chose. Together with our good friend and partner Maria of Party Maroc, we styled Maison Anaroze with neutral hues and a touch of delicate terracotta, blush, lilac and cream. Regal peacock chairs were adorned with floating florals courtesy of The Bloom Room Marrakech, for a dreamy, intimate feel.

Our groom Mouad first wore a dashing brown velvet suit jacket, which he swapped during the outfit change for a caramel and toffee toned relaxed suit. Our striking bride Sofia dazzled in a puff-sleeved ethereal dress with a floating skirt and low-cut back, accessorised with pearl hair clips from Violia Italy and a Hollywood wave for her hair - ultimate glamour. Sofia’s second outfit was high-fashion bridal for the modern elopement in Marrakech, featuring a sheer boned bodice, full sleeves and a skirt split to show the leg. The outfits were provided by both Italian dress designer Silvia Moretta Italy and Moroccan fashion designer Intissar, with makeup by Haley, a delicate vine headpiece by Guinevere Vines and shoes by Paula Ferber Casa.

Wedding pictures in Marrakech's Medina

After taking artistic poolside ceremony shots and bridal portraits around the riad, we left Maison Anaroze and headed out into Marrakech’s bustling Medina. In the heart of the Red City we played with an authentic Moroccan vibe, to get stunning shots of Mouad and Sofia immersed in the culture and earthy colours.

An elopement with a Marrakech skyline - Palais Lamrani

Our final destination was the intricately designed Palais Lamrani, with its aqua, teal and emerald colour palette and dazzling tiled floors. In the courtyard filled with botanicals and trees, our couple posed for photographs by a candlelit altar. Sofia’s romantic, floaty dress and relaxed hair style suited their dinner date at the poolside sweetheart table, an idea of how you could be served your wedding breakfast at your elopement in Marrakech. Palais Lamrani features lanterns hanging from its wall like a sea of glittering stars, and a rooftop area with views across the city. This was our final photograph spot as the sun began to set, which gave a romantic feeling unlike any other place in the world.
